Bio
I was born and raised in Milan.I graduated at the University of Milan, supervised by Paolo Spinicci and Alessandro Zucchi.
I did my Ph.D. at the University of Nottingham, supervised by Stefano
During my Ph.D, I visited the Institute for Logic, Cognition, Language, and Information (University of the Basque County), supervised by Kepa Korta.I am currently a Postdoc Researcher at the University of Bielefeld.
I am a member of Christian Nimtz's Theoretical Research Group.
Research interests
My main research interests are in the philosophy of language, especially semantics. I have worked on proper names, fiction, and quotational contexts. I also have strong interests in the debate on intentionality and other topics in the philosophy of mind, as well as anti-speciesism.
My dissertation offered an original analysis of meaning attributions and explored its application to some linguistic phenomena close to, and yet distinguished from, pure quotations. I am currently working on further elaborations of my dissertation work.
I am also working on two-side projects. The first aims to defend a semantics for pure quotations inspired by some remarks in Frege's Begriffsschrift. The second project is on the nature of seemings.
Apart from philosophy, I am into cinema and cooking.
